The Coward Leader of the World.

by samnimoo @ 2006-09-22 - 14:52:13

Have you ever seen or heard about a leader who will obey you when you threaten him? Suppose you are a head of state, and face the same situation which the most coward Pakistani president experienced, what will be your strategy? Will you make your state the 52nd state of United States? This guy did it. He gave the right of “apprehending” and “bombing” “terrorists” in his own area to the US.
Please read the news below and comment.

US threatened to bomb Pakistan after 9/11: Musharraf says he acted responsibly

NEW YORK, Sept 21: The United States threatened to bomb Pakistan “back to the stone age” unless it cooperated in the US-led war on terror, President Pervez Musharraf said in an interview released on Thursday.

Gen Musharraf, whose support for the US-led invasion of Afghanistan was instrumental in the fall of the hardline Taliban regime after the Sept 11, 2001 attacks, said the threat came from former deputy secretary of state Richard Armitage.

“The intelligence director told me that (Armitage) said, ‘Be prepared to be bombed. Be prepared to go back to the Stone Age’,” Musharraf said in the interview with the ‘60 minutes’ investigative news programme to be broadcast on Sunday.

Musharraf says the threat was delivered to his intelligence director, according to selected transcripts of the interview released by the CBS television network.

“I think it was a very rude remark,” Musharraf says in the interview. “One has to think and take actions in the interests of the nation, and that’s what I did.”—AFP
Alas we had a leader Like Hugo Chavez who dares to challenge the Satan of today, the Satan that think that he is the “owner of the world”

And would you prefer to be bombed? Why do you think British prime ministers follow American orders? They made the same threat to us, I expect.

Oh no, I don't think the same one !! Not the same threat !

But another one, more sophisticated, with money pressure and god knows what else.... for sure !

But it's good to see less and less people are candid...
And as this happens less "fate" can leave US government decide for everybody and give orders instead af acting for its own country !

Thus it's Part of American conscient population that can help change come about .... but not alone !

Alone ? Nobody can ! And it was time others stood up against american "fate". My Fidel and my people did all they could, so alone for so long . Not anymore. But more and more must join belief another world is possible... And do it !

I do beleive there is already a 52nd state in the US - The UK.

Yet Puerto Rico has been for ages been on the edge to be number 52 after Fidel imppeached Cuba bieng it...

Seems numbers 52,53 and at least 54 are very desired...

Puerto rico has been voting to settle that but is already a "Special Territory to USA"
"
And marshall Islands and 2 or 3 others are under American Contract" but of course, for other views...

The worls is getting aware and I'm optimistic again !!!

But "canb do better !"

Pakistan is a nuclear state, the US isn't going to bomb it. Gen Musharraf, was probably more scared that the US would assassinate him, then bomb Pakistan. Chavez, Castro, Morales, Ahamdinejad, Assad, Sayed Nasrollah, Haniyeh, Al-Sadr, al-Bashir all live under the threat of assassination. Look what happened to Sheikh Yassin. Musharraf seems more worrie about assassination attempts on his own life than his people.

Spot on steph, thats very true i beleive.
More than being assasinated,he was worried about his government.
He has US backing to stay in power.

You're absolutely right steph! There are those who obey and those who resist.
Those who obey and resist have no principles and for those principles matter who resist.
But don't you think that those who have ideological bondage of any type fall in the second category and the people like Musharraf have no ideology just to obey?
Shavez left and Nejadi right but both have ideology of their sort.

I read a most interesting book enlightened me on middle East, and particularly Pakistan.

By Tarik Ali : "the clash of fundamentalisms- Crusades, Jihads and Modernity"
Cuban edition

an updating would have been interesting as reaction of Tarik Ali.

Can you tell me more about him ? Your opinion

Thanks, hope you and yr family are alright... Pakistan will win out for sure !!
